'The Soul of Himalayas’ would go a long way
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said the State government was committed to promote rich culture and traditions as to showcase the rich cultural repository of the State to the visiting tourists. He was speaking after launching a video album “Sarve Bhavntu Sukhinam” produced by the Soul of Himalayas, an organisation committed for promotion of Indian culture and values.
The Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh was universally acclaimed for its rich and diverse culture, unique traditions and salubrious climatic conditions which make it a favourite destination for the tourists. The State government was also ensuring that this cultural diversity was preserved at all cost. The endeavour of ‘The Soul of Himalayas’ would go a long way in showcasing the cultural diversity of the State to the tourists, he added.
Jai Ram Thakur said that the State government was developing adequate infrastructure in the lesser known tourist destinations of the State. This would not only provide virgin tourist destinations to the tourists but also lessen the burden on already overcrowded destinations. He said that the State Government would provide all possible help to the organisations working towards promotion of the State in one form or another.
Speaker, State Vidhan Sabha Dr Rajiv Bindal, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu were also present on the occasion among others.
