The Pratibha of Chhayakriti and Art in Chandigarh.

Chhaya School of Art, established under Chhayakriti Pratibha Trust  organized a painting competition for the children of different age groups. The competition was held in Community Centre of Kendriya Vihar Society, Sector 48 in which students from class nursery to class 10th actively participated and showed their talent.

These tiny came from different schools of Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali to carve out their beautiful and colorful imagination on a plain piece of paper. On the occasion, Chairman of the Trust, Mr. Koushik Sinha along with his wife Parveen Sinha told that thousands of students have mastered in this art of painting through Chhaya Schhol of Arts.

He told that in todays’ competition more than 450 students have participated and they have been categorized in the groups of Pre-Nursery to KG class, 1st to 4th class, 5th to 6th class, 7th to 8th class and 9th to 10th class. This is for the second in this year a painting competition being held at Chandigarh, by Chhaya school of Art.

Mr. Rajiv Garg, Addl Advocate, Haryana High Court was also prestnt on the occasion as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of the children and said that the painting is the only way through which you can portray your expressions.

Mr. Koushik Sinha told that the winners of today’s competition would be honored at the Annual and Founders Day function of the school.

About the Chhaya School of Art, it was started in 1999 which is today a Trust. After 12 years, Chhaya School of Art has many students. The institution has worked towards socially-relevant projects and has organised many competitions. The students of Chhaya School of Art have competed at state, national and international level. 7 students have already had their own solo exhibitions which have provided them with a sense of achievement and their fellow students with a lot of motivation.

Koushik Sinha has bagged a state award as well as ‘best artist’ award. He has also achieved ‘the best teacher’ award from former Governor Mr. Jacob.
