The module training should be taken up along with the NGOs at each Police Station : Krishna Tirath

INVC,, Delhi,, The Minister of Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Krishna Tirath today visited the Police Control Room at Delhi Police Headquarters and took a first hand reviw of the working of police control room and the police personnel manning these calls and handling complaints to the Control Room. The Delhi Police Commissioner Shri B.K.Gupta briefed the WCD Minister about the latest technology adopted in the Control Room and recent measures taken by the Police in view of the rising crime graph particularly against women and children in the National Capital Region. Smt. Tirath also reviewed the follow up action on the gender sensitisation issue of the Police force at the level of Police Stations. She suggested that the module training should be taken up along with the NGOs at each Police Station and in the field on every Saturday of the week. Smt. Krishna Tirath has directed the National Commission for Women to file an investigation report on the reported incidents of mutilation of a dalit adolescent girl in Fatehpur Region of Uttar Pradesh within two days. She has expressed deep concern and dismay at the rising incidents of crime against girls and women in Uttar Pradesh and has asked the State Government to take stern measures to protect the citizens from unsocial elements.
