It’s time to start your training and get ready for the IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon in Bahrain
After a long awaited 3 years, the IRONMAN 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain 2022 is coming back this December.
Also known as a Half Ironman, it is a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation and a celebration of Middle Eastern culture over a weekend full of family-friendly events.
The reason behind the 70.3 is the distance to be covered in the race.
The 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim starts at the water in front of the “Reef Island”. The 90 km (56.1 mile) bike course consists of a single lap starting from transition at The Reef Island, pass the iconic landmarks of World Trade Centre and the Bahrain International Race Circuit and then back to Reef Island.The 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run course starts at the reef island continues towards the Financial Harbour and then back to the Reef Island in the heart of the city.
