New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the 7th edition of India Mobile Congress 2023 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. India Mobile Congress (IMC), to be held from 27 to 29 October 2023 with the theme Global Digital Innovation, is Asia’s largest telecom, media and technology platform. IMC 2023 aims to strengthen India’s position as a developer, manufacturer and exporter of leading cutting-edge technologies. During the program, the Prime Minister gifted 100 5G Use Case Labs to educational institutions across the country. The Prime Minister also inaugurated and visited the exhibition in Hall 5.

PM Modi also talked to industry leaders. Akash M Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, appreciated the Prime Minister’s commitment to enhancing the lives of younger generations by promoting the use of latest technologies, thereby strengthening India’s digital public infrastructure.

He said that the Prime Minister is an inspiration for millions of youth of the country in making the Digital India program inclusive, innovative and sustainable. Jio has deployed over 10 lakh 5G cells across all 22 circuits in India, contributing to 85 percent of the overall 5G deployment. These include the rollout of a 5G stack designed, developed and built by Indian talent. India is among the top 3 5G-enabled countries with a user base of 125 million. He said that the Prime Minister has united the entire country. He also gave examples of GST, India’s digital revolution and the tallest statue built in the world. He said, your efforts inspire all of us at India Mobile Conference. On behalf of all digital entrepreneurs, innovators and startups, Ambani also assured of realizing India’s dream during India’s Amritkaal.

Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, recalled the Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India, which has led to the rapid development of digital infrastructure. Giving information about the transformation brought about by the innovative approach of the Prime Minister’s JAM Trinity, he explained how the world is focusing on India’s digital transformation. He said that India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) is a subject of envy for many countries.

Mittal said that the second major pillar of the Prime Minister’s vision is Make in India and also mentioned the progress made in the manufacturing sector in the last one year. He said that India has made great progress in the manufacturing sector. He said that with companies like Apple to Dixon and Samsung to Tata, every small or big company or startup is involved in the manufacturing sector and especially in terms of large-scale progress in digital infrastructure, India is a manufacturing nation. Has emerged as a global leader. He said that Airtel 5G rollout has already happened in 5000 towns and 20,000 villages and by March 2024 they will cover the entire country and in this context he also mentioned the call made by the Prime Minister. He said that in reality this will be the fastest 5G rollout in the world.
