he Centre has asked the State Government to set up more Juvenile Justice Boards to cover all the districts so that cases against the juvenile can be disposed of as early as possible. States have been urged to ensure regular monitoring of the institutions for juveniles in conflict with law and seeking compliance with in cases of any noticeable absence and improvements based on suggestion of the Boards. States should also deal strictly with non-compliance on the part of concerned Government functionaries or functionaries of voluntary organizations, as the case may be, in accordance with the due process of law.
States have also been urged to create or provide necessary infrastructure or facilities so that minimum standards of justice and treatment are maintained in the spirit of the Juvenile Justice Act. All arrangements should be made to facilitate speedy enquiry and disposal of cases through due process of law and quarterly information should be ensured about juveniles in conflict with law produced before the Juvenile Boards, the District & State Child Protection Unit.
