Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has direct phone line contact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and KCR takes orders from him. Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) of working together, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the TRS chief is in direct contact with Modi.

The Congress leader said, “The chief minister has a direct connection with Modi. He picks up the phone here and Modi picks it up there. Modi orders the chief minister that ‘you have to do this today’.”

Rahul Gandhi was addressing a public meeting at Necklace Road in the heart of the city on Tuesday as part of the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’.

Stating that BJP and TRS work together, the former Congress president advised people not to live in any misunderstanding. He also alleged that KCR does drama before elections.

The Congress MP recalled that whenever the BJP brought a bill in Parliament, the TRS used to blindly support it.

“TRS also supported three black agricultural laws. Whenever the opposition raises an issue in Parliament, TRS raises another issue to divert attention,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi also took a dig at the TRS government for the poor infrastructure in the state, saying that Telangana has more potholes than roads.

“I thought Delhi is the most polluted, but found Hyderabad to be number one,” he said.

The Congress leader said that the farmers he spoke to told him that despite working 24 hours a day, they do not get any benefit from farming. He alleged that the BJP government at the Center and the TRS government in Telangana were not helping the farmers.

“They are not giving MSP, not waiving loan, but by bringing three black laws and trying to snatch what farmers have,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi said that he also interacted with those who do not have any job despite having MBA, Engineering and MBBS degrees.

The Congress leader said, “An engineer delivers pizza and works for Swiggy, but he cannot do engineering.”

Rahul Gandhi recalled that the Prime Minister had promised 2 crore jobs every year, but these days he has stopped talking about it.

He said, “Both PM and CM don’t talk about employment anymore. The backbone of the employment system is broken. Employment is given by small and medium businesses and farmers. Modi brought demonetisation and wrong GST and during Covid he borrowed Not given, did not extend a helping hand, due to which small and medium businesses were badly affected and hence they are now unable to provide jobs.

The Congress leader alleged that the Modi government of Delhi works only for the selected people.

Rahul Gandhi said, “Modi has 2-3 friends and the whole country knows who his friends are. Modi is handing over ports, roads, airports, telecom and LIC, which are the nation’s assets, to his friends.”

He also said that small businessmen and shopkeepers cannot take loans, but a select few industrialists get loans of lakhs and crores of rupees.

“If a farmer is unable to repay a loan of Rs 50,000 or Rs 1 lakh, he has to go to jail, but when billionaires are unable to repay the loan, they are called NPAs, not defaulters,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi also recalled that when the price of LPG cylinder was Rs 400 and petrol was Rs 65 per liter during the UPA government, Modi used to criticize the then government, but today the price has almost doubled and he are silent.

The Congress leader said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been taken out to protest against inflation, unemployment and violence and hatred being spread by BJP and RSS.

“It is not just the Yatra, but the true voice of India. Lakhs of people walk together and people of all religions and castes are involved,” he said.

The Congress leader praised the people of Hyderabad for making the city an information technology hub.

Rahul Gandhi said, “If you want to remain an IT hub, you cannot move forward with hatred and violence. Only with love and brotherhood can this state and Hyderabad move forward and this is your history, culture and It’s in your DNA.” PLC/GT
