The area would set new records in the field of milk production : Deepender Hooda

INVC,, Haryana, Deepender Singh Hooda, MP from Rohtak today said that a milk plant with a capacity of five lakh  litres was being set up at IMT, Rohtak for the benefit of the farmers. Mr.Deepender Singh Hooda, who was addressing the people after inaugurating a chilling plant set up by Nestle at Meham, said that a proposal to set up another milk plant at Jhajjar was also in the pipeline. He said that during his previous tenure as Member Parliament, he focused on bringing national and international level educational institution in the area and during this tenure his focus would be on milk, water conservation and its availability. The milk sector is directly linked to the farmers and those landless people who earn their livelihood from animal husbandry. A number of ambitious schemes had been implemented to strengthen the milk production sector in the state and the inauguration of chilling plant at Meham was also a part of the series. He said that the area would set new records in the field of milk production in the times to come. More chilling plants as per the needs of the area would be set up, which would strengthen economy of the farmers and cattle breeders. He urged the farmers and cattle breeders to ensure their maximum participation for strengthening the area of milk production. The MP said that Haryana has made its mark in milk production at international level. The per day per capita availability of milk in the state was 673 gram as compared to national average of 252 gram. Milk plants and chilling centres were being set up in the state for the benefit of the cattle breeders, he added. Chandigarh, Feb 27-Haryana Chief Minister, Mr.Bhupinder Singh Hooda has congratulated the sports persons of the state on their magnificent performance in the 34th National Games held at Ranchi. Haryana got second position among states by winning 42 gold medals, 33 silver medals and 44 bronze medals in these games concluded yesterday. The players of Haryana also participated in these games on behalf of Army which got first position in these games. Mr.Hooda said that the sports persons of Haryana also contributed one third medals to the national medal tally in the Asiad and Commonwealth Games. The people of the state were proud of their sports persons. He said, “The credit for this magnificent success goes to the hard work of our sports persons and their families. The State Government only provided an atmosphere conducive to the sports. It is gratifying that our sports persons are performing better every year. The new sports policy implemented by the state government has started yielding encouraging results. Out sports persons never lacked skill and capabilities and what was needed was to create an atmosphere favourable to the sports”. He said that improving their previous performance, the sports persons of Haryana got 30 gold medals, 22 silver medals, 28 bronze medals in the last national games held at Guhawati. The state government was making all out efforts to provide better atmosphere and incentives so that they could bag first position in the next national games. The Haryana Government’s policy of giving cash prizes, services and honour to the sports persons was being followed by other states and it had created a healthy completion among the various states of the country. The sports friendly policies and programmes of the state government would yield much better results in the years to come and India would emerge as a global sports power, he added. In a statement issued here today, PWD Minister, Mr.Randeep Singh Surjewala and State Minister for Sports, Mr.Sukhbir Singh Kataria also expressed their happiness over the performance of the sports persons of the state. Mr.Surjewala said that the state government under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister, Mr.Bhupinder Singh Hooda had provided sports friendly atmosphere in the state. The sports persons of Haryana, which has less than two per cent of the total population of the country, have shown with their outstanding performance that they were capable of winning medals not only in the national but also in the international sports event. While the sports persons of Haryana won gold medals in the team events like women kabaddi, women hockey, men netball, they also won highest number of medals in the individual events like boxing, wrestling, athletic, judo, shooting.
