Today when the ten ambulances stood in a line to be handed over to various service organisations of the state, Tarun Vijay , former MP said- this is his most satisfying contribution for the needy in the hill state where still patients are brought to hospital on a carboy-turned a stretcher in upper hills. These ambulances were sanctioned from his MPLDS funds but it took time and when they arrived Tarun vijay organised a Sewa- Mela for handing over keys of these ambulances to the organisations like Ramakrishna Mission, Gorkhali Sudhar Sabha, Sanatan Dharma Sewa samiti and the RSS inspired Sewa Bharati.
The president of Sewa Bharati Mr Bharat Bhushan said that Mr tarun Vijay has set an example of serves that should be emulated by other MPs. Mr Tarun Vijay said that he has given n ambulance for Assam Sewa Bharati also, but it takes time to have the for,amilites does. The MPLADS finds take a very circuitous route and some times the funds are released years after the MP 's term has ended. He has tried too give as many as possible-the best of the ambulances Force brand which cost almost 12 lakhs each, he said.
