A high level Indian delegation led by Union Minister of Power Shri Sushilkumar Shinde will visit Sweden and Italy from 20th to 24th June, 2011 to promote cooperation in Power Sector with the two countries and motivate prospective investors for investment in Indian Power Sector. During the visit, Shri Shinde will have bilateral meeting with Ms. Maud Olofsson, Minister of Enterprise and Energy and Communications, Sweden. He will also address members of the Swedish Trade Council to apprise them of the steps taken by the Government of India for carrying out reforms in the power sector and opening up opportunities of investment.
In Italy, Shri Shinde will hold bilateral talks with Mr. Paolo Romani, Minister for Italian Economic Development. He will also meet the Italian industry representatives including Italian companies already present in Indian Power Sector. This visit is expected to act as a catalyst for prospective investors in Indian Power Sector as well as highlight the growth and reforms in the Power Sector in India.
