Chairman, H.P Marketing Board Dr. Subhash Manglate today assumed the charge as Chairman of the National Council of State Agricultural Marketing Boards (COSAMB) in New Delhi. He was recently appointed as the Chairman of COSAMB.
After assuming the charge, he inspected the office complex and also held meeting with Additional Managing Director and other staff members.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manglate said he was happy to get this responsibility as he had got a chance to work with the national agency which was directly concerned with the farmers and horticulturists. He said he would work with utmost responsibility and dedication to raise the issues concerning to the farmers and fruit growers on national level. He added that he would make all possible efforts to redress the problems being faced by the farmers and horticulturists of Himachal Pradesh on priority.
He said COSAMB was a forum at national level to co-ordinate among all the State Agriculture Marketing Boards/Departments for efficient agricultural marketing system in the country. He said the national status of COSAMB was now well recognized and 25 members State were taking part in day to day activities more aggressively.
Advisor, H.P Marketing Board, Devendra Shyam, Managing Director H.S Baweja were also present on the occasion.
