State is providing opportunities to youth

Industries Minister Bikram Singh Thakur presided over a review meeting on Friday evening with heads of various technical institutions including engineering and polytechnic colleges to review the technical education in the state.

He said that state government is committed to strengthen technical education in the state. All possible help like basic and modern infrastructure, availability of faculty and other facilities will be provided to students of these colleges.

Bikram Singh Thakur said that state government is providing opportunities to youth to earn their livelihood respectfully by implementing Mukhya Mantri Swavlamban Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Aajivika Yojna, Skill Development scheme and Start-Up India,

The Industries Minister directed the Directors and Principals of various technical institutions to put up proposals for seeking additional funds for improving the infrastructure from the government of India. He also gave directions to come up with innovative proposals for improving the quality of technical education.

During the meeting, improvement of quality of skill training in training institutions, increasing the institute-industry interaction for better exposure to the trainers and trainees, liaising with the industry for increasing the placement of trainees and speeding up of the construction work of buildings of institutions were also discussed.

ACS Industries Manoj Kumar, Director Industries Hans Raj Sharma and other senior officers were present in the meeting.
