State Government would not disturb the quota of 27 per cent : Ram Bilas Sharma
INVC NEWS Haryana, Haryana Government will bring a Bill in ensuing session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha to give reservation to Jats and would get the audio clip of Prof. Varinder Singh, former Political Advisor to the then Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda examined as he has allegedly tried to flare up the ongoing agitation in the State. This was stated by Haryana Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma while replying to the questions of media persons after attending a meeting of the State Cabinet here today. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal. He said that in the all party meeting convened by Mr Manohar Lal on February 19, 2016,the Chief Minister had already made the offer and asked for unanimity on the provisions of the draft Bill.Both the INLD and the Congress had welcomed this and suggested for consultations on draft Bill before it was moved in the ensuing session of the State Assembly. When asked about the kind of reservation quota proposed to be given to the Jats, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma said that the State Government would not disturb the quota of 27 per cent reservation meant for the Other Backward Classes. He added that as a Bill is being brought, the Government would make a separate provision for their reservation. When his attention was drawn towards an audio clip of Prof. Varinder Singh, which has gone viral, he said that he himself too had heard it and the matter is crystal clear. It would be investigated and action would be taken under the law, he added.
