The CM Vijay Bahuguna participated in the program organized by Congress leader in Sahaspur, Deen Mohammad on the occasion of Eid-Ul Zuha. On this occasion, the CM extended his wishes to all those present at the gathering, and to all the Muslims of Uttarakhand. He said that Uttarakhand has strong bonds of unity and brotherhood and it is our identity that we are present for each-other’s happy and sad occasions. Shri Bahuguna said that Eid-Ul Zuha carries with it, the message of sacrifice. He further said that Uttarkhand has a unique tradition where festivals of all religions are celebrated by all people, together and added that this tradition should be kept alive.

The CM said that the state Government is committed to the welfare of minority groups and added that numerous schemes are being run for the same. He also said that a separate department has been set up for the welfare of minorities, in addition to which employment schemes are being run to increase the opportunities for work available to people from minority communities. He also said that the minority groups of Uttarakhand have played an important role and have contributed greatly to the development of the state
