Start new development projects in the state

Chief Secretary Shri Niranjan Arya has instructed all the District Collectors to form a team at the district level and monitor the preparations for the 'Invest Rajasthan' Investment summit to be held in January 2022. He said that the aim of the conference is to attract more and more investors and start new development projects in the state. This will happen first time in the state, when the conference will be organized up to the district level. During the conference, foundation stones and inauguration of development projects will be done.

Shri Arya on Tuesday issued aforesaid directions while holding video conference from the state Secretariat in a review meeting with the District Collectors and the concerned departmental officers regarding the preparations for 'Invest Rajasthan', issues related to the Environment Department, Mahatma Gandhi English Medium Model Schools and Right of Way issues of the Telecom Companies. He said that the investment summit to be held in January is the top priority for the state government. He said that Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot wishes Invest Rajasthan summit should be proved a milestone in the development of the state. With a view to make the summit comprehensive and effective, it has been decided to organize it at the district level. He said the district collectors would play the most important role in the success of the summit.

The Chief Secretary has directed all the District Collectors to prepare a list of Non-Resident Rajasthanis belonging to their districts in the coming days and keep focus on the promotion of the conference, so that more and more investors show interest to invest in Rajasthan by taking advantage of the schemes. Also, the collectors do work speedily for setting up RIICO industrial area, land allotment and other local approvals including change of land uses in their respective districts.
 
Industries Department secretary Shri Ashutosh AT Pednekar apprised the chief secretary about the preparations for the investment conference through a presentation. He said that broadly 10 sectors- Agriculture and Agro Processing, Auto and Auto Components, EV, Chemical and Petrochemical, ESDM, IT, Medical and Health, Mines, Minerals and Ceramics, Renewable Energy, Textile and Tourism- have been decided for the investment. He informed that more than 3000 potential investors will be present in the conference and more than 5000 will participate online.

Identify Biosphere Reserve in the districts

The Chief Secretary has directed the district collectors to mark new wetlands in their respective districts as per the prescribed rules with a view to getting them included in the Ramsar list. He also directed them to demark the Biosphere Reserves in their districts. Shri Arya expressed satisfaction over the District Environment Plan prepared by all districts and said that the collectors should start work immediately by implementing these plans. He inquired about the level of pollution in various cities of the state, expressed concern over the increasing industrial pollution in Bhiwadi and directed the collectors to take immediate action. Forest and Environment Principal Secretary Smt. Shreya Guha, through a presentation, apprised the chief secretary regarding various issues related to NGT in the districts.

No shortage of teachers should be in Mahatma Gandhi English medium schools

The Chief Secretary said that Mahatma Gandhi Government English Medium School is the flagship scheme of the State Government. For the first time, pre-primary classes are being conducted in these schools. He has sought suggestions from the district collectors to meet the requirement of English medium teachers for these schools. Shri Arya said that the state government decided to run these schools with a long-term vision, which in future will change the education scenario of the state. He said that the district collector should work with extra sensitivity for the successful operation of the schools.

The pending cases of Right of Way should be resolved soon
Shri Arya has instructed the district collectors to ask telecom companies to apply for approval under Right of Way only through online. He directed that Revenue Department, Local Self Governance department and Urban Development and Housing Department to work with coordination to settle all the matters related to approval at the earliest. He also instructed the collectors to ensure regular meetings of the District Level Telecom Committee in a time bound manner. Commissioner of Information Technology and Communications Department Shri Sandesh Nayak informed the Chief Secretary about the pending matters related to telecom companies in the districts.
