SSC Recruitment for 990 Posts in Indian Meteorological Department
Staff Selection Commission invited applications for the Scientific Assistant posts in the Indian Meteorological Department. The Commission had issued the notification for these posts on 30 September 2022. Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of SSC, ssc.nic.in. The last date to apply for these posts is 18 October 2022.

Qualification – Candidates who want to apply for these posts should be graduate in Science subjects (with Physics subject) or Computer Science or Information Technology or Computer Application from a recognized university or any other higher education institution. Candidates having Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering can also apply.
Age Limit – Candidates age should not be more than 30 years as on last date of application 18 October 2022. However, there is a provision of relaxation in the upper age limit for the reserved categories candidates as per the rules of the Central Government.
Selection Process – The selection process consists of Computer Based Examination (CBE) and Documents Verification. This exam will be of 2 hours. It will have two parts. Part 1 will have 25 questions from General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language & Comprehension and General Awareness. Part 2 will have 100 questions from the concerned subject. 1 mark is fixed for each question. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks in the exam.
Application Fee – Candidates applying for the post of Scientific Assistant will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee. PLC/GT
