Social Justice & Empowerment Ministry invites Proposals from Institutions for Providing free Coaching to SC OBC Students

The Union Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has invited proposals from reputed coaching institutions/centres for providing free coaching to students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the ratio of 70:30. The programme would cover coaching for:

i) Group A and B examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and the various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB);

ii) Group A and B examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commissions;

iii) Officers’ Grade examinations conducted by Banks, Insurance Companies and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and;

iv) Finishing courses/job-oriented courses for employment in the private sector like IT, Bio-technology etc. in need of soft skill as well;

The details of the Scheme (including the eligibility conditions) and application format may be downloaded from the website www.socialjustice.nic.in/index.html of Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The coaching institutions/centrers may send their complete proposals in the prescribed format addressed to the Joint Secretary (SCD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Room No. 610, A Wing, Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi-110 115 latest by 20.9.2010, along with all prescribed documents mentioned in the application format. Applications received after 20.9.2010 will be rejected.
