SJVN Pays 168 crore Interim Dividend to Govt. of India for FY 2015-16

Misra, CMD, SJVN LimitedINVC NEWS New Delhi, On account of its financial performance for the year 2015-16 public sector SJVN Limited has paid interim dividend of ` 168 crore to the Govt. of India holding 64.5% equity in the Company.  SJVN had declared a total interim dividend of ` 260.61 crore (@ 63 paisa per share) for FY 2015-16. While 25.5% equity holder Govt. of Himachal Pradesh received ` 66.47 crore as interim dividend and ` 26.14 crore is paid to public shareholding.   Last year company paid dividend of ` 434.35 crore to its shareholders. The dividend cheque was handed over to the Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Power Shri Piyush Goel by Shri R.N. Misra, CMD, SJVN Limited at New Delhi.  On this occasion Shri A.S. Bindra, Director (Finance), Sh. N.L. Sharma Director (Personnel), Sh. R.K. Bansal, Director (Electrical) and senior officers of SJVN were also present. While handing over the cheque to the Hon'ble Union Minister of state for Power, Shri R.N. Misra informed him that during the financial year 2015-16, SJVN has targeted to generate 8520 MUs of electricity under “Excellent” rating whereas a total of around 9100 million units of electricity has been generated from 1500 MW NJHPS, 412 MW RHPS and 47.6 MW Khirvire WPP till date. While the target revenue realization from sale of energy is `2224 crore from these three projects collectively. Hydro Power is the core strength of SJVN and the Company has the distinction of implementing India's largest 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh and the Company is implementing 12 other projects in Nepal, Bhutan, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar and Gujarat.  The Company's other two projects namely 412 MW Rampur HE Project in Himachal Pradesh and 47.6 MW Khirvire Wind Power Project in Maharashtra are already in operation.  SJVN which has already diversified in the field of Wind Power, Thermal Power and Power Transmission is presently generating 2000 MW of electricity.
