SJVN Honored with the CBIP award of Best Performing Hydro Power Utility

Public Sector Undertaking, SJVN Limited has been honored with the CBIP award of Best Performing Hydro Power Utility.   The prestigious award was presented by Prof. SanwarLalJat, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Govt of India to Shri R.N. Misra, Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN ata function organized by Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP)at Scope Bhawan, New Delhi.

Shri Misra inform that SJVN has received this award for outstanding contribution to the Nation by setting New Bench Mark in Generation and Maintenance,  Excellence in Engineering and use of latest  State of Art Technologies and smart solutions for tackling major silt erosion problems.  MrMisra added that SJVN has been constantly achieving Excellent Rating for the last 3 years in the MoU signed with Govt of India.   SJVN’s Flagship 1500 MW NathpaJhakri Hydro Power Station has been constantly exceeding its design energy targets for the last 5 years, with its Plant Availability Factors constantly being above 100%.  For its   meritorious performance India’s largest 1500 MW NathpaJhakri Hydro Power Station has been awarded Gold Shield (2010-11) Bronze Shield (2011-12) and Silver Shield (2012-13) respectively by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.

He further told that SJVN has commissioned its Rampur Hydro Electric Power Project successfully, with station COD being achieved on December 16, 2014.  SJVN has also set up its Wind Power Plant and is presently performing diversified business strategies in India, Nepal and Bhutan in various Hydro, Thermal Transmission, Solar and Wind Projects.  Thus, SJVN is on the path of becoming a fully diversified Transnational Power Sector Company in all types of Conventional and Non-conventional forms of Energy.

Presently, it is taking up its Hydro Projects in Nepal and Bhutan on expeditious footing.
