Singapore offers 2.47 million singaporean dollars to train master trainers in centre of excellence
INVC NEWS Jaipur, The Singapore Government has offered a package of 2.47 million Singaporean Dollars to provide training to the master trainers of the proposed Centre of Excellence in Udaipur so that these trainers can acquire global level of skills in hospitality sector.
A delegation of The Institute of Technical Education, Singapore met Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje at Chief Minister's office on Tuesday. The members of the delegation informed that Singapore Government is taking initiatives to impart the knowledge of skill training after the Chief Minister's visit to Singapore in October, 2014. They said the ITEES with global expertise and leadership in skill training has designed the way forward training course to enable Centre of Excellence, Udaipur to achieve world class prominence in certification of skills in hospitality sector.
The delegation briefed Smt. Raje about the progress and parameters of training programme at the proposed Centre of Excellence. It was decided during the meeting that the project implementation would commence this month and the Centre of Excellence will be ready for inauguration by September 2016. Around 480 students will graduate from this Centre every year in six sectors.
The delegation comprised Lim Boon Tiong, Director Asia, ITEES, Fabian Cheong, ITEES and Kester Tay, Political Secretary (First), Embassy of Singapore in India.
