Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani has hit out at Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra, saying that ever since she defeated Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, he has been on the run and roaming across the country. In the last Lok Sabha elections, Irani had defeated him in Rahul Gandhi’s stronghold Amethi, though he won the Wayanad seat in Kerala.
Women and Child Development Minister Irani while addressing a rally in Renukaji assembly constituency for Himachal assembly elections to be held on November 12, said, wherever he went, what happened there? Congress kept losing elections there too. He also raised questions on some of the people who participated in the yatra.
Irani said, Congress party leaders took out the yatra, with whom did they take out this yatra in Kerala? With those who slaughtered cows and then uploaded the photo on the internet and the Congress Yuvraj is patting his back while taking out the yatra.
He said, the Congress took out a yatra with those who proposed to separate Kashmir from India. Irani asked Congress workers, when your leader supports those who want to see a fragmented India, doesn’t your blood boil? PLC/GT
