The 246th Meeting of Board of Directors of H.P. State Industrial Development Corporation, 194th  Meeting of BoDs of General Industries Corporation, 166th Meeting of BoDs of H.P. State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation Ltd. and 218th Meeting of BoDs of H.P. Khadi and Village Industries Board was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shri Mukesh Agnihotri, Industries Minister. While presiding over the meeting of BoD of State Industrial Development Corporation, Shri Agnihotri said that the State Industrial Development Corporation was working on the projects worth Rs 617 crore. He said that three new Industrial Estates would be established at Kandrauri in Kangra district, Pandoga in Una district, Dabota in Solan district with a capital investment of around Rs. 450 crore. Shri Agnihotri said that HPSIDC was also executing major civil works of Education, Technical Education, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Departments. He said that the Corporation was targeting to execute works worth Rs. 100 crore per year. He said that the Corporation was executing civil works worth Rs. 38 crore under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan besides civil works of six ITIs worth Rs. seven crore were underway. He said that work of science city coming up at Shoghi would also be executed by SIDC. He said that SIDC would soon be adopting customized e-procurement for facilitating transparent and effective e-auctioning and e-tendering. Vice Chairman of SIDC Shri Atul Sharma while welcoming the Industries Minister detailed various activities of the Corporation. He urged the Minister to fill up functional posts in the Corporation for ensuring its effective functioning. Shri S.S. Guleria, Managing Director, SIDC conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Non-official members of the BoD also gave their valuable suggestions. Meeting BoD of GIC held While presiding over the BoD meeting of General Industries Corporation (GIC), Shri Mukesh Agnihotri said that the Corporation has registered a sale of Rs. 2844.13 lakh thereby earning a profit of Rs.425.66 lakh upto September this year. He said that the Government would ensure that all the functional posts in the Corporation were filled on priority so that work could not suffer for want of staff. It was also decided by the Board of Directors to outsource security work of country liquor bottling plant at Mehatpur. Shri S.N.Sharma Company Secretary conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Non-official members of the BoD also gave their valuable suggestions. Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation registers sale of Rs 1571 lakh Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri said that the H.P. State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation had registered a sale of Rs.1571 lakh upto November, 2014 during the current financial year. He said that Himachal Emporium New Delhi had registered a record sale of Rs.371  lakh followed by Himachal Emporium at Shimla registering a sale of Rs. 284 lakh. Shri Agnihotri said that exhibition would be  organized at Lucknow, Agra, Varanasi and Gandhi Shilp Bazar at Una and proposals in this respect had been sent to the Developmental Commissioner Handicrafts, Union Ministry of Textiles. He said that the Corporation was operating 95 training centres in different crafts throughout the State. He said that 61 training centres would be opened soon. He said that these centres were being run under Tribal Area Sub Plan and Scheduled Castes Sub Plan. Shri A.C. Sharma, Managing Director welcomed the Chief Guest and conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Non-official members of the BoD also gave their valuable suggestions. Meeting of BoD of Khadi  and Village Industries Board held The BoD of Khadi and Village Industries Board was held here today under the Chairmanship of Industries Minister Shri Mukesh Agnihotri. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Agnihotri said that Board has fixed a target of providing margin money worth Rs. 748.45 lakh to 372 beneficiaries. He said that these projects have been sponsored to different banks for approval. He said that these projects would provide gainful employment to over 4000 persons in the State. The Board also approved construction of sheds on land at Jeori so that the same could be rented out for increasing the income of the Board. Shri Ramesh Chauhan, Vice Chairman, Khadi and Village Industries Board welcomed the Minister and detailed various activities of the Board. He ensured the Minister that the Board would work with missionary zeal to come upto the expectations of the State Government. Non-official members of the BoD attended the meeting and gave their valuable suggestions. Shri K.C. Chaman, Chief Executive Officer, Khadi and Village Industries Board conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Principal Secretary, Industries Shri R.D. Dhiman, Special Secretary, Finance Shri Rajesh Sharma and other senior officers of these Boards also attended these meetings among others.
