ShopClues, India’s first and largest online marketplace today conducted the award ceremony of the CXO NEXT 2017 Challenge, where students from top B-Schools across the country participated and discovered the leader within. The Challenge comprised of finalising 8 business plan videos by students, chosen from over 1500 entries from across India from top MBA Schools, across business four major business areas - Operations, Category, Product and Marketing. The Winners from each area won Pre-Placement interviews at ShopClues, cool electronic gadgets, and a chance to shadow the business head for one week, gaining hands-on experience.
Winning students were from the leading B-schools. Aditi Pathak, ISB and Vershita Srivastava, IIM Raipur bagged the Winner and Runners-up titles respectively in the Marketing Domain. The winner in the Category domain, Devan Goyal and Runners-up, Alladi Shravya were from VGSoM - IIT Kharagpur and ISB respectively. Abhiroop Bhattacharya, IMI, New Delhi and Abhinav Sharma, IIM Tiruchirapalli were the winner and runners-up respectively in the Operations domain. The prizes in the Product domain were bagged by Anirban Mitra, IIM Kozhikode and Aswathy Satish, MDI Gurgaon.

The CXO Next 2017 event also featured panel discussions about the two most important topics defining the e-commerce landscape – “Establishing your career in eCommerce” and “Profitability in eCommerce - Myth or Reality”. The panel comprised of ShopClues’ Senior Leadership Team, which discussed the Indian market and the reality of day-to-day operations in the e-commerce industry. The panellists, Vishal Sharma, VP - Operations, Harneet Singh, VP - Marketing, Ambar Deep, AVP - Product and Nitin Kochhar, VP – Categories; lead day-to-day operations in the organization, which works with more than half a million merchants and has over 100 million visits per month.
