PVR Pictures, is elated to bring Shin Ultraman, a Japanese film by the director Shin Higuchi on 23rd September in the theaters near you. This action + adventure-packed drama casts Japanese superstars Takumi Saitoh, Masami Nagasawa, and Hidetoshi Nishijima. The film is known to be a movie adaptation of the original Ultraman.
The film showcases the journey of giant unidentified life forms known as “S-Class Species” which worsens in Japan when a silver giant appears from beyond Earth’s atmosphere. This leads to the Japanese government forming SSSP to study and formulate how to defeat them. This sci-fi fiction has Saitoh play Kaminaga, who is a part of the S-Class Species Suppression Protocol (SSSP) in Japan. The film further emphasizes the theme of the film with Shin Ultraman’s commentary on humanity’s place in the universe.
Prior to its release in India, the film also premiered at Fantasia Film Festival Montreal, Canada, and the New York Asian Film Festival (NYAFF) in July this year.
PVR Pictures is releasing Shin Ultraman in India on 23rd September, 2022.
