Seven years rigorous imprisonment to four accused including candidates and an impersonator in a police constable recruitment examination conducted by vyapam
The Special Judge, CBI, Cases, Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) has today convicted three candidates, namely Pushpendra Singh Jadon, O.K.Yadav & Manoj Singh Kushwaha and the impersonator Shrinivas Singhal in a Vyapam related case, and sentenced them to undergo seven years Rigorous Imprisonment.
CBI had registered the instant case on 05.08.2015 in compliance with orders dated 09.07.2015 of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India passed in WP (Civil) No. 372/2015 and 417/2015 and took over the investigation of the case , earlier registered vide Crime No. 20/14 dated 15.11.2014 at Police Station STF, Bhopal. It was alleged that the Police Constable Recruitment Test was conducted by Vyapam, Bhopal during the year 2012 and the selection of various candidates in PCRT 2012 was allegedly done through unfair means.
After thorough investigation, CBI filed a Charge-Sheet against the accused on 25.07.2018 in the Court of 9th ASJ, CBI Vyapam Cases,, Bhopal for their involvement in the crime. These accused included beneficiary candidates who got their selection in the PCRT - 2012 Examination through unfair means & also impersonator.
The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted them.
