The present income limit of parents/guardian of students of notified minority communities from all sources for eligibility under Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship Schemes of the Ministry of Minority Affairs is Rs.1.00 lakh and Rs. 2.00 lakh per annum respectively.
The Scholarship Schemes of this Ministry have been continued in the 12th Plan period from the 11th Plan period without change in the eligibility criteria. However, this Ministry intends to harmonize the Pre-matric Scholarship at class IX and X to make it at par with the rates of scholarship for SC/ST students.
