The Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan today administered ‘’Rashtriya Ekta Pledge’’ to all the officials and staff members of the Ministry on the occasion of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” at Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi. Addressing the gathering, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan lauded the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in preserving Unity and Integrity of the nation and exhorted everyone to remember the great leader in all his glory.
Speaking to media after administering the ‘’Rashtriya Ekta Pledge’’, Shri Paswan asserted that Sardar Patel was a leader who played a major role in India’s freedom struggle and was known as the architect of independent India who integrated more than 550 princely states to build a united India. Today, a grateful nation pays tribute to the great man befitting his tall stature.
Shri Paswan stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi led government has given Sardar Patel his rightful place in Indian history by installing the statue of Unity in Gujrat to honour him for his role in uniting India. Praising the role of the government in honouring Sardar Patel, Shri Paswan said that Sardar Patel can be truly regarded as a maker of modern India.
