On the occasion of the legendary bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s 76th birthday, 92.7 BIG FM, one of India’s largest radio networks engaged listeners by paying a special tribute to the megastar along with many renowned artists. The radio station celebrated his birthday along with Sanam, an Indian pop band known for playing retro song covers, on BIG MJ Rani’s show between 12.00 pm to 3.00 pm.
Being one of the most dynamic and legendary actors in the country, Big B has aced every role to perfection in his flourished career spanning over 40 glorious years. As part of the celebrations, Sanam Band regaled listeners by performing unplugged versions of Big B’s timeless classics. While MJ Rani's show kept the fun element high and the mood upbeat, the morning band hosted by MJ Siddharth went down memory lane revisiting the memories from Big B's life that involved days of struggle and hard times in a 'Fight Back Special' leaving listeners all teary eyed.
Levelling up the entertainment bar, singing sensation Sonu Nigam too shared his wishes by mimicking some of Big B’s famous dialogues. Staying aligned to the brand’s ethos of delivering more promising music, the radio network’s ode to the 'Shahenshah of Bollywood’ was musical in every sense.
Along with playing Amitabh’s iconic songs, the radio network shared trivia about the actor and interesting anecdotes from his life’s journey.
