Today the 59th Birthday of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh ji was celebrated as ‘Guru Puja Diwas’, on this auspicious occasion, the Nirankari Mission organized “Safai &Tree Plantation Abhiyan” in each and every city all over the country. At various places in Chandigarh thousands of Nirankari followers including children and women participated in cleaning which started at 6 a.m. and terminated at 9 a.m. today. On this occasion Dr. B.S Cheema Zonal Incharge and Shri Mohinder Singh, Sanyojak Sant Nirankari Mandal, Chandigarh, were also present along with many other Adhakaries. During this Safai Abhiyan roads, parks, dispensaries, Community Centres, Schools etc. situated in Sector-15, Bhaskar Colony Sector-25, Dhanas, Khuda Lahora, Naya Gaon, Kansal, Area Sector-30, 32, Ram Darbar, Hallomajra, Colony No-4, Behlana, Raipur Khurd, Darua, Bapu Dham Colony Sector-26, Sector-40, 52, 56, Daddu Majra, Maloya Colony, Area Sector-45, Colony No-5, and Nirankari Bhawans were cleaned. Children were carrying different mottos like “Nar Seva Narayan Pooja”, “Dharam Jorata Hai Torata Nahi”, “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”, “Save Trees save World”, “Green city clean city” and “Plant Trees for Better Tomorrow” etc. Later on, at 10.30 am ‘’Tree Plantation Abhiyan’’ was started in Sector-29, opposite Traffic Police line where about 200 saplings were planted. On this occasion Incharge Parchar Vibhag Smt. Joginder Kaur, Sh. Niranjan Singh Retd. I.A.S., Dr. B.S Cheema Zonal Incharge and Sh. Mohinder Singh, Sanyojak, and Mukhi Sh. Sham Sunder, Sh. S.S. Banga, Sh. Tarsem Singh and others adhakaries were present alongwith Mayor of the Municipal Corporation Sh. Subhash Chawla. The Mayor said “this campaign is started as a religious practice by the Mission, it is also advantageous for the city as well. People are planting plants, which is beneficial for all the citizens of Chandigarh. So I really appreciate their efforts.” Sh. Mohinder Singh Sanyojak conveying the messages of Nirankari Baba Hardev Singh ji said, “Our earth is like a Global Village. As such cleanliness of earth is the cleanliness of our own houses.” Regarding pollution, Baba Ji says, “Whether inner or outer, pollution is always harmful for a person.” He always exhorts to make God dwell in our hearts so that we are protected from doing evil deeds and serve the humanity selflessly. Emphasizing the need for social welfare awareness, Baba Ji highlights Mission’s involvement in the activities of Environment Conservation. Sh. Singh further said that Nirankari Mission is serving the society at large all over the country in the medical field, organizing voluntary Blood Donation Camps, providing relief during earthquake(s), and during Tsunami disaster, Tailoring and Embroidery Centers, Libraries, Mass marriages etc. “Guru Pooja Divas” is being celebrated today not only in India but also all over the world. All the Nirankari Saints will imbibe Satguru Baba Hardev Singh ji’s teachings of love and service for the humanity which are essentially linked with the knowledge of God.
