Geneva : The United States has made a serious allegation against Russia, saying that it is developing an anti-satellite nuclear weapon. Which was rejected by the Defense Minister of Russia. The United States and Russia may face each other on this issue in the meeting to be held today.

On Wednesday, Russia and the United States will meet at the UN Security Council over nuclear weapons in space. There will be voting in this, which is a proposal prepared by America for countries to agree to stop the arms race in outer space. At some time, America had accused Russia of developing anti-satellite nuclear weapons. However, Russia’s Defense Minister vehemently rejected America’s allegation. According to some politicians, Russia can stop this proposal. America also took this step after accusing Moscow of developing anti-satellite nuclear weapons in space.

In fact, on Friday, US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield and Japan’s UN Ambassador Yamazaki Kazuyuki had given statements on Friday that they have been talking to Security Council members on the resolution for six weeks. This proposal has been prepared to ensure that states comply with their duties to comply with the Outer Space Treaty. Thereby actively contributing to the objective of preventing an arms race in outer space.

Several countries, including Russia and the United States, signed the Outer Space Treaty in 1967. This treaty prohibits placing objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other type of weapons of mass destruction in orbit around the Earth.
