Rs. 100 crore modern marketing yard would be coming up : Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal

INVC,, Shimla,, State Government would be providing Soil Health Card to each of the farmers by next year. This was stated by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister while addressing a mammoth public meeting at the closing ceremony of 4-day long District level Ani Fair at Ani after he laid foundation stone of 66 KVA Electrical Sub Station at Nagaan estimated to cost Rs. 12.98 crore and benefit 65,000 population with improved voltage in the area today. Chief Minister said that 1.04 lakh to be sanctioned social security pension in the State by the end of current financial year as about 80,000 of them had already been sanctioned pensionary benefits and remaining 25,000 would be provided pension during current financial year. He said that Jalori Pass tunnel would also be constructed on priority to connect Ani sub-division with district headquarters all round the year. He said that State Police would be keeping vigil on every educational institution to check use of drugs by students. He sanctioned Rs. 25 lakh for starting construction work of mini stadium at Ani and directed the authorities to prepare detailed project report to give final shape to stadium. He added that State Government would soon be providing every Gram Panchayat one Vikas Mitra who would be educating the masses about the policies and programmes of the State Government as also help local people in taking benefits of various policies and programmes of the State Government being implemented from time to time. Chief Minister said that Rs. 100 crore modern marketing yard would be coming up at Parala near Theog with dedicated horticulture road bypassing Theog-Shimla-Solan towns. He said that marketing yards were also being constructed at Khegsu and Nirmand. He said that about 80,000 had been sanctioned social security pension during last three years and 25000 more to be added to the list during current financial year. He said that the State ranked at number one in implementation of 20-Point Programme. He said that 380 km of long road had been constructed in Kullu district and Rs. 80 crore spent on road construction in Ani segment alone. He said that Rs. 89 crore was being spent on 212 road projects in the district. He said that State would liberally provide route permits to private bus operators in Ani segment so that maximum village had bus facility.
