Rehri market owners threatened to commit suicide

The shop owners of rehri markets of sector-7,9,11 and 17 threatened that if huda will resume their shops then they will not go to their houses. But they will commit suicides on their shops. This was told by many shop owners of rehri markets in the meeting held in the geeta mandir in sector-11 here in front of local MLA DK Bansal. They raised the slogans against huda and gave memorandum to MLA stating that till now they didn’t received the notices till date and they came to know through newpapers that huda is going to resume their shops. The shop owners said that there are around 500 shops in the rehri markets of four sectors in city. Over 90 % shopkeepers have purchased the shops on GPA and the GPA is attested by the tehsildar. Now after many years huda is ruining their business including their families. They also said that since many years they didn’t received any single notice from Huda. While speaking to INVC, MLA DK Bansal said that he received the memorandum from the shop owners of rehri markets and he will talk with the huda officials. Earlier, patwari of huda served the notices to the shop owners for telling the reason that why they sold the booths on GPA. But after the interference of estate officer the notices was changed and then again huda told the shop owners that there booths will be resumed soon. Huda also told the shop owners to vacate the government land and after that huda will start the process to resume the shops. Huda also sent the letter to legal advisor so that the legal cell should get ready to take legal action against the shop owners. While speaking to INVC, Sundar Lal, Patwari Huda, he said that the notices has been sent to all the shop owners of rehri markets of sectors 9,11 and 17. He further said that still he is busy in making the list of sector-7 rehri market. Till now 52 names of the shop owners are detected who sold their shops on GPA and after that they will be issued notices to resume their shops.
