Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje said that Rajasthan would be made an ideal state in road network development. For this a 5-years detailed plan is being worked out.
 
Smt. Raje was reviewing the progress of Public Works Department (PWD) at the Chief Minister Office here on Friday. Underlining that improvisation of road network in the state as priority of her government, she asked the officials to prepare an integrated plan for renewal, strengthening and extension of roads and implement it in a time-bound manner. 
The Chief Minister suggested for restructuring of the department as per need to make it work efficient and improve its functioning. Best practices being implemented in Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Punjab and Karnataka etc. 
for development of roads and other basic infrastructure were also discussed in the meeting.
 
Chief Secretary Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, Additional Chief Secretary Infrastructure Shri C.S. Rajan, Chairman of Rajasthan State Road Development and Construction Corporation Limited (RSRDCC) Shri J.C. Mohanty, Secretary Plan Shri Akhil Arora, Secretary to CM II Shri T. Ravikant and other officials were present in this meeting.
