Railway Budget which was announced today shows lot of optimism to the tourism industry said, Mr. Subhash Goyal, President, Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO).
“Introduction of more tourist trains to link all major tourist places across the country, proposal to start Bullet Train between Mumbai & Ahmedabad and diamond quadrilateral project of high speed trains to connect all major metros are the welcomed steps and this will flourish both international and domestic tourism especially the rail tourism”, said Mr. Subhash Goyal immediately after the rail budget was announced by the Hon’ble Railway Minister.
Mr. Subhash Goyal said “We welcome the steps being taken by the government under the dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi ji for boosting international tourist arrival to India. Rail Budget is further addition to the same as it is very tourist friendly because international tourists always make complaints about the food quality, poor hygiene and non-availability of safe drinking water in the train and at the railway stations. In the rail budget all these issues have been take care. Introduction of world class railway stations like airports under Public Private Partnership, RO water in trains, food courts at major railways stations, wifi in A1 and A category railway stations and in select trains etc. are such measures and this will give a very positive image of the country”.
Mr. Subhash Goyal further added “one of our major issue is difficulties in e.ticketing due to slow server response of IRCTC, which has been taken care in the rail budget as e.ticketing systems will be improved”.
