Shahdol : There was a sudden power failure in the hotel where Rahul Gandhi is staying in Shahdol. As soon as the power went out, there was a situation of panic in the hotel. Electricity came back within a few seconds. After this there was a sigh of relief from the security agencies. Keeping in view the security, the floor of the hotel where Rahul Gandhi is staying has been blocked.
Rahul Gandhi on Monday addressed election rallies in support of Congress candidates in Mandla and Shahdol Lok Sabha seats in the first phase of voting. After the public meeting in Seoni under Mandla Lok Sabha constituency, Rahul reached Banganga fair ground in Shahdol. Addressed the public meeting here. However, his helicopter could not take off due to low fuel. At present he has been accommodated at Surya International Hotel in Shahdol. Keeping security in mind, a large number of security personnel have been deployed.
State Congress President Jitu Patwari said that the weather is bad. Water has spilled. There will be a delay in fuel arrival. Due to bad weather the helicopter will no longer be able to fly. The pilot also had the same suggestion. Keeping in mind the safety of Rahul ji, he will have to stay in Shahdol only. Now they will leave from here at 6 am on Tuesday. I am very impressed by Rahul ji. As soon as the security agencies told them that the weather was bad, they asked what could they do now? Will have to stop in Shahdol. He is very easy going and simple.
Earlier, Shahdol SP Kumar Prateek said that Rahul Gandhi’s helicopter could not take off due to lack of fuel. Fuel is being procured from Jabalpur. Rahul will go by helicopter only if the fuel arrives on time. Keeping security in mind, possibilities of taking it to Jabalpur by road were also explored. But the weather is bad. Due to security reasons, arrangements have been made for their stay here.
The hotel where Rahul Gandhi is staying also has a beehive. Security agencies immediately took cognizance of this and alerted the local administration. After this, the bee removal team from Shahdol Municipality also reached the hotel. Later, top officials of the security agencies stopped the process of removing the hive for some time.
