Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that all the 31 University of the state should undertake the research work in their nearby areas to bring about social and economic changes. Chief Minister said that the universities have to become a partner of the state government in the development. He said that today, quality education is a burning issue. In the digital and technological era, the world has become very small and competitiveness has increased in the field of education. We have to focus on qualitative education rather than quantitative. Chief Minister said that the number of colleges, universities, technical and professional institutions in Uttarakhand is adequate in terms of geographical and economic conditions of the state. State Government is constantly working to improve the quality of higher education. Chief Minister addressed the teachers of higher education across the state, who attended the gratitude programme, organized for giving the seventh pay scale in the Higher Education Department, held at SGRR Medical College on Sunday.
