Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Mr Vijay Sampla said that for India's all round progress, country needs not only intelligent and educated people but also citizens of good character and conduct in consonance with country's rich spiritual culture, tradition and values. He said this while addressing a Seminar on "Senior Citizen-An Ocean of Blessings"organized by the Brahma Kumaris organization for senior citizens on the sixth day of its 10-day "Rajyoga Utsav" at Punjabi Bagh Janmastami Park here last evening. Addressing a select gathering of over seven hundred senior citizens in the Seminar as Chief Guest, he said that efforts for building of such character and culture in students' life are not found in our educational institutions run on western model but can be found in the moral and spiritual teachings and practices of the organizations like Brahma Kumaris which are promoting India's glorious cultural ethos, values and heritage all over the world. Rajyogini B. K Asha, Main Coordinator of the Brahma Kumaris' Rajyoga Utsav as key speaker said that senior citizens with their rich life experience and large heartedness are like big banyan trees who can guide and provide shelter with their blessings to so many misguided and disoriented youth of the family, state and country on the path of peace, harmony, discipline and development.
