The State Government had initiated innovation awards scheme to ensure good governance and provide better services to the people of the State. The awards will be given this year for the financial year 2014-15. Secretary, Administrative Reforms Smt. Purnima Chauhan stated this while presiding over a meeting of State Sectoral Committee under HP Planning Department, here today. Smt. Chauhan said that six different sectors had been constituted in the State through which as many as 26 different proposals for innovation awards had been collected.
She had asked the departments, corporations/boards to constitute their sub committees for sending proposals for claiming/seeking innovation awards for current financial year. She said the proposals would be required to be sent to the state innovation council who would scrutinize the presentation of proposals for the awards and asked the sub committees to recommend best innovations and send it to the State Nodal Department. Printing and Stationary Department gave its presentation on this occasion. Smt. Chauhan said that the detailed information could be obtained from the website of the Planning Department.
Director, Information and Technology Smt. Priyanka Ignite Basu, Senior Technical Director & SIO Shri Ajay Chahal, representatives of FICCI and Officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting.
