President Patil gives away Awards to Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, Pali/Prakrit Scholars

The President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil along with the Sanskrit, Pali/Prakrit, Arabic and Persian Languages and Maharshi Badarayan Vyas Samman scholars for the year 2010-2011, at a function, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in New Delhi. The Union Minister for Human Resource Development and Communications and Information Technology, Shri Kapil Sibal and the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, Dr. (Smt.) D. Purandeswari are also seen.

The President of India Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil  conferred Certificatesof  Honour to scholars of Sanskrit,   to scholars of Sanskrit (International), to scholars of  Persian, scholars of  Arabic languages and scholars of Pali/Prakrit. The awards are announced once a year on Independence Day in recognition of substantial contribution in the field of Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic and Pali/Prakrit.  The following is the list of scholars who were awarded today.  The awards ceremony was for the years 2010 and 2011.
