World Disabled Day was celebrated by PRAYAAS-Rehabilitation Centre for Handicapped Children, Sector 38-B Chandigarh at the Bal Bhawan, Sector 23-B, Chandigarh here today. Mrs. Kamlesh, Chairperson, Chandigarh Social Welfare Advisory Board, Chandigarh and former Mayor Chandigarh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Various competitions like drawing, races, fancy dress and music & dance were organized for the special children. Special Children of Prayaas School, OPD children, crèche children & children of other institutions participated in the different competitions. Mrs. Kamlesh, appreciated the functioning of the institute for the rehabilitation services of special children. The Chief Guest also distributed prizes to the winners of different competitions. Aids/appliances were also distributed to the disabled children.
