Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will now be organized in a more vibrant way : Sushma Swaraj

Delhi, Government is to try to connect more and more People of Indian Origin (PIO) and Non Residential Indians (NRIs) abroad with India and in its economic process so that it will be mutually beneficial for India, PIOs and NRIs, said Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, Smt. Sushma Swaraj. After assuming office as Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs, Smt. Swaraj said, her effort will be to involve in and attract, as much as possible, PIOs and NRIs to their root. She said, being in charge of two key Ministries of External Affairs & Overseas Indian Affairs, which are closely inter-related, it will be now easier, convenient and more effective in yielding the desires result. The Minister added that now, the Indian Missions abroad will be more sensitised and the problems, issues faced by Indians abroad can be addressed in a more effective and fruitful manner because the work and function can be coordinated better. Smt. Swaraj said, the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will now be organized in a more vibrant way so that PIOs and NRIs can participate in it, involve themselves with it emotionally and can connect themselves with the country of their origin.
