Prakash Javadekar took stock of the ongoing negotiations in COP-20 and resolved to continue to work together

Prakash Javadekar meeting the Minister of Environment of Peru, Mr. Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, at UN Climate Change Conference, in Lima, PeruINVC NEWS Lima Peru , Minister for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Prakash Javadekar held discussions with the Ministers of Brazil, South Africa, and China (BASIC) in a meeting hosted by South Africa, a day prior to the commencement of the High Level Segment of COP-20 in Lima. This was the first Ministerial Meeting of the BASIC during COP-20, following the meeting of BASIC lead negotiators last week. The Ministers took stock of the ongoing negotiations in COP-20 and resolved to continue to work together to achieve an ambitious and positive outcome of the COP-20 in Lima, while preserving and strengthening the unity of developing countries to protect their common interests. The BASIC Ministers had earlier met in South Africa in October this year and in India in August 2014.
