Poland is keen to have long lasting partnership with India : Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to India
CII organises Industry Roundtable with H.E. Mr Adam Burakowski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to India
“Poland is one of the fastest growing economies in European Union and we are keen to have long lasting partnership with India”, said H.E. Mr Adam Burakowski, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to India while interacting with industry captains during Roundtable organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today in Chandigarh.
Poland has a strong Indian diaspora of 40,000 and many Indian companies have already invested in Poland and similarly, we have Polish investments in India. Every week, there are 3 cargo planes operates between India and Poland connecting Delhi and Mumbai, said H.E. Mr Adam Burakowski.
H E Mr Adam Burakowaski exhorted Indian industry to invest in Poland, stating that Poland continues to be the biggest trade partner of India, in the European Union. He said that Indian companies setting business operation in Poland may cater to all EU countries. He added that investing in Poland has been found to bring a high level of satisfaction to investors. The key areas discussed were Fintech, Cyber security, Smart City, Green Technologies, Drones, Agri & Food, etc.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Mr Manish Gupta, Chairman, CII Chandigarh UT said that CII has had long-standing interaction with Poland. In 1998, CII signed first MoU with the Polish Chamber of Commerce. Thereafter, CII signed three other MoUs with Polish Chamber of National Defence Manufacturers (PCNDM); Business Promotion Centre Ltd; and Indo Polish Chamber of Commerce and Industry. CII has engaged with Polish companies and business delegations practically every year since 1996 until the COVID pandemic.
