Punjab National Bank in a function held at Delhi launched PNB Uphaar, the pre-paid card. It is a very versatile card in collaboration with MasterCard, that can be used at all MasterCard enabled ATMs and Point of Sale (POS) Terminals. It can be used for e-commerce transactions. PNB Uphaar can be purchased for a minimum of Rs.500/- and a maximum of Rs.50,000/-. It is ideal as a gift, both for individuals as well as Corporate. Corporate can also use PNB Uphaar to disburse salary / bonus etc. to their employees. Individuals can also use this card in place of an add-on card on their base account that may be used for shopping, for making payments, while traveling etc. PNB Uphaar can be purchased by its customers and non-customers also from PNB branches. The card is issued free of charge and would be valid for 36 months from issue. During its’ period of validity, PNB Uphaar can be topped up by its’ purchaser through PNB branches, as per need.
