Punjab National Bank has been awarded Gold Trophy of Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE) Meritorius Award for Best Managed Bank, Financial Institution & Insurance Company for the year 2009-10. The award was received by Shri K R Kamath, Chairman & Managing Director at the hands of Hon’ble President of India, Her Excellency Smt Pratibha Patil at a function organized on 11th April 2011 at Vigyan Bhawan to commemorate the Public Sector Day. Shri Praful Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises presided over the function.
The Bank was awarded the Trophy in recognition of its strong franchise value, innovative and customer-friendly suite of financial products and services, building large base of 60 million plus satisfied customers and use of technology as a key differentiator for customer acquisition and retention, service delivery and maximizing cross-selling opportunities.
