Participants upraised about solar harvesting in INSPIRE-2017

Inspire-2017 the five day science internship programme running at Amity Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus saw today a special lecture on Use of mathematical modeling by Prof. Joydeep Dhar, expert Applied Sciences, Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior. Talking on ‘Fascinating world of Mathematics’ Prof. Joydeep Dhar quoted the saying of Karl Pearson “I believe the day must come when a biologist being a mathematician will not hesitate in using mathematical analysis when requires.” And said there are no areas of life where Mathematics is not applied. On the occasion Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Lucknow Campus Maj. Gen. K.K Ohri (AVSM) Retd welcomed the guests and participants and detailed about Amity University to the participants. Next two sessions were taken over by the 3rd round of Science Olympiad Round and poster making round of ‘Innovative ideas’. The questions of this final round of science Olympiad were generally based on Mathematics and Biology group. The participants showed a great excitement in the final round of this event. Latter participants learnt about solar energy in a practical presentation on Photo Voltaic Cell. The presentation emphasizes on need of Renewable energy, Solar harvesting and Working & Principle of solar cell. The students had an interaction session with a technical team which gave them an opportunity to directly ask the technical details involved in the experiments. The most awaited session of the day was started with Ganesh Vandana seeking The Almighty’s blessings followed by fantastic group dance performance and hilarious skit exposing the sarcasm of Indian politics. Later, some of the mind blowing solo singing performances along with dance performances staged by the students of AIB & ASET was enjoyed by our audience. An electrifying fusion of classical and western dance charged up the whole arena of auditorium.
