NTPC signs PPA for Lara and Barethi Projects

India’s largest power utility, NTPC Limited signed a Power Purchase Agreement(PPA) with Madhya Pradesh State Power Trading Company Limited for sale of power from its upcoming power stations, Lara Super Thermal Power Project in Chhattisgarh and Barethi Super Thermal Power Project in Madhya Pradesh. Lara and Barethi Power Stations shall have an installed capacity of 4000 MW and 3960 MW respectively.

The agreement was signed by Shri MKV Ramarao, Executive Director (Comml.)  on behalf of NTPC and Shri P K Vaishya, MD, on behalf of Madhya Pradesh State Power Trading company limited in the presence of Shri Rajendra Shukla, Minister of Energy, Govt. Of MP, Shri I C P Keshari, Joint Secretary (Thermal), MOP-GOI, Mohd. Suleman, Secy. Energy, Govt. of MP, Shri Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC and Shri Inderjit Kapoor, Director(Commercial), NTPC and Senior officials of both the organizations.
