Mumbai : Users of financial technology (Fintech) company Phone-Pay app traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) can now make payments using UPI at Mashreq’s Neo-Pay terminal. PhonePe said in the statement that the transactions will be simplified by the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). Debit from the account will be in Indian Rupees, reflecting the exchange rate of the currency.
Neo-Pay terminals are available at retail stores, restaurants as well as tourist and holiday destinations. A senior official of PhonePe’s international payments said that with this partnership, customers can now easily transact through UPI. Enabling digital payments not only reflects PhonePay’s commitment to convenience, but also to meet the growing needs of today’s travelers.
