23 villages will be connected with Digital India. These villages belong to Berasia and Phanda blocks. In this, 4G service of BSNL will be available. This will also open up employment opportunities in these villages. In fact, the central government has approved a project costing Rs 26,316 crore for villages without mobile service. This approval has been given on July 27. It includes 3191 villages of MP. In these, this village of Bhopal is also included. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address on the occasion of Independence Day in the year 2021, had called for the completion of government schemes, in the context of which this amount has been released for the villages. The works done with this amount will give a boost to Digital India.

The total cost of the project will be Rs 26,316 crore. Under this project, it will be easy to provide 4G mobile service in 24,680 underprivileged villages located in remote and inaccessible areas of the country. The project has a provision to cover 20 per cent additional villages keeping in view the rehabilitation, new settlements, withdrawal of their services by the existing operators, etc. Only villages having 2G, 3G connectivity will be upgraded to 4G connectivity there. The project will be implemented by BSNL using the 4G technology stack of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and will be funded through Universal Service Obligation Fund.
