ULFA Commander-in-chief, Paresh Baruah has denied of any probability to hold talks with the Government in handcuffs and stated the declaration of his arrested chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa that he has not surrendered as a ‘moral victory’.
“Rajkhowa had showed his strength despite his mental and physical torture” when he told reporters at the Kamrup Chief Judicial Magistrate Court premises yesterday that he had not surrendered and would never do so, said Baruah in an emailed statement to the media.
“ULFA is very much alive, our struggle will never end and the people of Assam are with us”, said Baruah adding that “the support of the people of Assam towards ULFA can easily be predicted by yesterdays’ supporting crowd at the Court.
